Vietnam’s tourism industry is buzzing with activity as the 2025 Lunar New Year draws near, showcasing its appeal to both domestic and international travelers. Travel agencies across the country are launching vibrant Tet-themed tours to meet the rising demand.Online travel platform Agoda reported an impressive 139% surge in searches for Tet accommodation compared to 2024, with Chinese visitors leading the way—tripling their numbers. This growth aligns with Vietnam’s ambitious goal of attracting 22 million foreign arrivals this year.  Among Vietnam's top destinations, Phu Quoc Island takes the spotlight with a dramatic year-on-year doubling of accommodation searches. Other favorites, including Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Phan Thiet, also reported remarkable increases of 167%, 88%, and 89%, respectively.In Ho Chi Minh City, a hub for international tourism, travel companies have recorded a surge in bookings for Tet. The Saigontourist Travel Service Company is set to welcome nearly 19,800 cruise passengers from the US, Canada, and the UK, providing them with comprehensive tours throughout Vietnam.The city’s Department of Tourism has also stepped up its game, rolling out a multilingual campaign at Tan Son Nhat International Airport to welcome travelers. QR codes linked to tourism information systems are enhancing convenience for visitors. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the department, highlighted 2025 as a transformative year for the city’s tourism industry. With innovative products, captivating events, and a focus on professional services, the city is well-prepared to leave a lasting impression on visitors.The Lunar New Year, or Tet, is Vietnam’s most celebrated traditional holiday. This year, the Tet holiday extends from January 25 to February 2, offering tourists the perfect opportunity to explore the country’s vibrant culture, festive atmosphere, and breathtaking landscapes.From bustling urban centers to serene coastal getaways, Vietnam is ready to welcome travelers with open arms, ensuring an unforgettable Tet experience.
