For a well-going business trip, see more details in this post.  Indian travelers are not on the Vietnam visa exemption list so you must have a valid visa to visit the country, whether for tourism, business, study, or any purpose, even just transit (in certain scenarios). Indian citizens do NOT need a visa to enter Vietnam if they have a valid temporary residence card in Vietnam, a valid 5-year visa exemption certificate, or a valid APEC card. We shared the common Vietnam visa requirements for Indian citizens in our previous posts (1) (2). Today’s subject is only about business visas for Indians to Vietnam.  Vietnam business visa requirements for Indians There are many options for Vietnam visas for Indian business travelers, such as 30-day, 90-day, or 6-month visas with single or multiple entry.  Two of the most important conditions that Indian citizens need to meet are: Holding a passport valid for at least 6 months;Having a passport with at least 2 blank pages.  In addition, you are staying outside Vietnam’s territory and not on the list of people banned from entering the country to be allowed to apply for a Vietnam visa. For business purposes, you are required to have a sponsorship or invitation letter from a business partner in Vietnam. Applying for a Vietnam business visa online (e-visa) This is a highly recommended way for its flexibility, time-saving, and convenience.  Here are what Indian travelers must prepare for a Vietnam business e-visa:  Passport-type photo (sized 5x5cm, taken within the last 6 months, white background, face visible, eyes open and looking at the camera, no glasses, no hair covering the face); Scan of the Indian’s passport page with personal information; Business letter from either the sending company in India or the sponsoring company in Vietnam;Scan of applicant’s business card. You should have an international payment card to pay the visa fee online and a valid email to get essential notifications.   Here are the steps to submit your application yourself at the Vietnam Immigration Department: Step 1: Register information at the Vietnam Portal on Immigration Make sure the photo meets the requirementsEnter the Indian’s full name exactlyChoose the right visa type and appropriate entry dateFill in all required information, including your personal information, travel schedules, your immigration history to Vietnam, and more.  Step 2: Check the information carefully and make the payment Step 3: Visit the Vietnam Immigration Department regularly to check the application review status Step 4: Download e-visa: If your application is approved and sent to you via email, you can download it to enter Vietnam on the specified date. Present the e-visa letter to the Vietnam Immigration Officer upon your arrival to complete the entry process. You can use an e-visa to enter Vietnam at the airports, border gates, and sea ports. You are encouraged to apply at least 2 or 3 weeks before the trip in case you need to add some missing documents or fix incomplete/incorrect information.  Cost of Vietnam business visa for Indians Depending on the visa type, the visa fee for Indian citizens to Vietnam for business purposes ranges from $25-95 (INR 2,085 - 7,925).    Note: The above information is only for Indian business travelers entering Vietnam in the short term (under 6 months).
