Bac Son Valley - “Lang Son’s Paradise”

You will travel about 160km from Hanoi to Pu Luong Nature Reserve. The best time to explore Pu Luong is from May to October. In May and June, the new rice crop is planted, greening the fields. In September and October, the ripe rice turns the hillsides yellow attracting many tourists.
Pu Luong is a unique place to visit in Vietnam. It has rich flora and fauna of old-growth forests, terraced fields, mountains, and an original highland culture.
There are many interesting activities in Pu Luong. In the reserve’s core is Hieu Waterfall, with cool and glassy water flowing into many layers. You can conquer Pu Luong Peak and see the magnificent scenery from a height of 1,700m.
Moreover, visiting Don Village, Bat Cave, or fairs is also a unique experience. The Pho Don market every Thursday and Sunday is very popular. Son Doong: The world’s largest natural cave
In 2009, Son Doong was announced as the largest natural cave on Earth. The cave is nearly 9km long and can hold up to 38.5 million cubic meters. Since its debut, Son Doong has drawn great attention from the world.

According to scientists, Son Doong Cave began to form around 4-5 million years ago. The cave’s scenery is breathtaking, making anyone who sees it overwhelmed.
It is located in Bo Trach district, Quang Binh Province, in the core area of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. This unique place has values to be strictly protected and offers a range of outstanding experiences. This is a destination that adventurous tourists want to explore once in a lifetime.
Currently, Oxalis is the only company allowed to operate Son Doong Tours. The price for a 6-day and 5-night tour is 3,000 USD (equivalent to 72 million VND). The tour is super difficult, requiring participants to be experienced and have good physical strength.
Son Doong Exploring Tour only accepts 1,000 visitors each year to preserve nature. Therefore, they need to make reservations very early. It is informed that before 2023 ended, Son Doong tours had been fully booked for the whole year 2024.

Dong Van Stone Plateau: A masterpiece of nature
Dong Van Stone Plateau stretches across 4 highland districts of Ha Giang province. This place is located more than 1,000m above sea level. It appeals to both tourists and scientists as it preserves traces of tectonic activities and the historical development of the Earth’s crust.
According to surveys, the Dong Van Stone Plateau has 11 geological formations, the oldest of which dates back more than 545 million years. This unique place has received the title of Global Geopark three times from UNESCO’s Global Geoparks Network Council.
Towering limestone mountains and winding, dangerous roads here challenge brave visitors. The plateau is home to the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia, Tu San Canyon. Its cliff is over 700m high and 1.7km long, next to the stunning Nho Que river. Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the four great passes in Vietnam, is also a unique place to conquer.
Staying here, you can also see “flowers blooming on the rocks” all year round. Spring comes, and peach, plum, and pear flowers blossom, creating a colorful setting.
